Hunting Area: We have about 650 sq. miles of hunting area in The Gospel Hump Wilderness, The Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness and The Nez Perce National Forest. We hunt the Selway and Elk City Zones, units 15, 16A 19, 20 & 20A with some of the most beautiful country on earth. Our lodge is located in Dixie ID., in the heart of our hunting area.

Guided Camp Rifle Combination Elk, Deer & Bear hunts: Cost: 2X1 $5,675.00 and 1X1 $6,375.00. Our rifle combination hunts are 9 day hunts and run from September 15th to November 11th. The early season, September 15th to about October 11th, are bugle hunts. This hunt includes: First arrival night at the lodge, pack into camp the next morning, you will be hunt that afternoon. You will be in camp for 6 nights 7 days. The late afternoon of the 7th day you are packed back to the lodge for your last night at the lodge and checkout the next day. The backcountry camp hunts are 2 on 1 hunt’s, (2 hunters 1 guide) or 1 X 1 hunts (1hunter 1 guide).  You will be riding in on horseback to one of our permanent campsites. Each camp has two to three large wall tents with wood stoves, one for guests, one for cooking and one for guides. Sleeping tents have cots with foam pads and wood stove for heat. The cook tents have eating areas in case of bad weather. Each camp has a cook that prepares delicious hot breakfasts and family style dinners. Lunches are prepared for the field or can be eaten in camp. The cost for  License for all three Elk, Deer and Bear is $926.00.

Lodge Rifle Combination Elk, Deer & Bear Guided Hunts: 2X1 $5,075.00 and 1X1 $6,075.00 for 2016 season. The lodge hunts are based from our beautiful modern log lodge with all the conveniences in the heart of our hunting area.  You will be with us 8 Days and hunt 6 of those days. These hunts will be tailored for your ability and can be by horseback,by foot or by 4X4. You will return each day to the luxury of the lodge and home cooked meals, a comfortable bed and hot showers.

Guided Camp or lodge Combination Archery Elk & Bear Hunts: 2X1 $4,575.00 and 1X1 $5,575.00. These hunts take place in unit 15 and run from August 29th to September 30th. These are early season bulge hunts, the hunter can harvest a bull or cow. This hunt includes: First arrival night at the lodge, pack into camp the next morning, you will be hunting that afternoon. You will be in camp for 5 nights and 6 days. The late afternoon of the 6th day you are packed back to the lodge for your last night at the lodge and checkout the next day. We have 3 hunt dates during this time and are limited to 4 hunters per hunt. These are 8 day hunts with 6 days of hunting. You will have one night at the lodge on arrival & departure. We recommend a 1X1 hunt unless you have a buddy that you hunt with, but we can match you up with another hunter. You will be packing in to camp by horseback & mules. The camp will have two to three large wall tents with wood stoves, one for hunters, one for cooking and one for guides. Sleeping tents have cots with foam pads and wood stove for heat. The cook tents have eating areas in case of bad weather. Each camp has a cook that prepares excellent hot breakfasts and dinners family style. Lunches are prepared for the field or can be eaten in camp. The costs for License & tags are: License is $154.75, Archery tag $20.00, Elk tag $416.75, Deer $301.75 and Bear $41.75.

Drop Camps unguided: start from $2,250.00 per hunter: We offer drop camps for the experienced hunter, these camps are fully equipped. All have wall tents with wood stoves for heat; the cook tent has a fully equipped kitchen, dishes, pots & pans, propane stove, table & chairs and wood stove for heat. The sleeping tents are equipped with cots with foam pads and a wood heating stove. We also supply these camps with a radio system for emergencies, game pick up and contact with the lodge. These camps are reached by horseback and are a 5 to 12 mile ride. All you need to bring is your personal gear and food. Once your game is down you will need to ¼ your game and put it in game bags for pickup by our packer. The packer will pick up you game in the field and pack it back to our meat house for safe storage.  If you want to have it processed and frozen there is an extra charge for this. The cost with 2 hunters is $2,550.00, with 3 or 4 hunters $2,350.00 and 5 hunters or more $2,050.00. We do not mix groups in drop camps. These camps will sleep up to 8 hunters.

Late Season Mule Deer or Whitetail Deer Camp Hunts: 2X1 $4,875.00 and 1X1 $5,875.00. These hunts are for the diehard deer hunter and are run from November 1st to 18th during the rut. We pack in to one of our backcountry camps with horse and mules for this hunt. This hunt includes: First arrival night at the lodge, pack into camp the next morning, you will be hunting that afternoon. You will be in camp for 5 nights and 6 days. The late afternoon of the 6th day you are packed back to the lodge for your last night at the lodge and checkout the next day. The mule deer and whitetail are in full rut are this time and are moving all day chasing does. You be walking or riding ridgelines and glassing for deer. The camp will have two to three large wall tents with wood stoves, one for hunters, one for cooking and one for guides. Sleeping tents have cots with foam pads and wood stove for heat. The cook tents have eating areas in case of bad weather. Each camp has a cook that prepares excellent hot breakfasts and dinners family style. Lunches are prepared for the field or can be eaten in camp. The cost of a 2016 license $164.75 your deer tag is $301.75.

Lodge Guided Spring Bear hunts over bait guided: $2,775.00 for Spring bear hunts are 6 day hunts from the lodge, you will be hunting 5 day over bait. This is a good hunt for husband & wife, fathers & sons or daughters. The baits are placed out starting May 1st. We run these hunts from about May 15th to June 30th. This is a very productive method and easy on the hunter. We have 24 baits sites and check to see which ones have been hit and set up on these. We use ground and tree blinds over the baits. The bait sites are a short walk from 4X4 access roads. This is an effective method with rifle, bow or pistol.  This hunt gives you the luxury of returning to the lodge each day for a great home cooked meal, soft bed and soak in our hot tub. The cost for a non-resident license is $164.75. The early hunts in May are in unit 15 the cost for the bear tag is $41.75. The June hunts are in a reduced bear tag unit the bear tag cost is $41.75. It is also a 2 bear area and a second tag can be bought for $41.75. We charge $800.00 extra to hunt a second bear after you have shot you first bear.

Spot and Stalk 6 Day  Bear Hunt: $3,875.00
This is a 7 day 6 night (Sunday thru Saturday) hunt we use a jet boat on the main Salmon River to acess remote areas in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. These hunts run the last 2 weeks of April. You will be hunting 5 days. You arrive Sunday at our lodge and are taken down to the cabins & lodge on the Main Salmon River. We will be running the river daily to spot bears just out of hibernation that are feeding on the mountain sides and stalk in for a shot. We will also be hiking up drainages to glass for bears. You need to be in good physical condition for this hunt and need to be able to climb in steep terrain.  We also skin and pack out the meat for you. We have a meat house and freezers to store your game. We can also make arrangements to have the meat processed in Grangeville, this would be at your expense. We have a very high success on this hunt. You can also harvest a wolf if one is spotted at only the cost of a wolf tag $31.75. Wolves are sometimes seen when running the river or hunting up drainages.

Mountain Lion Hunts guided: $6,275.00 While our mountain lion season runs from Last week of November to March 30th each year, we hunt only the best times of the season, November 15th to March 30th. Our lion hunts are 8 days & 7 nights. Saturday to Saturday you will be hunting 6 days they are based out of our lodge. Lodging and meals are included.  We check trails by 4x4, ATV or snowmobile and walking to locate fresh tracks. When we find a fresh track we release the hounds and the chase is on. Our dogs are equipped with tracking collars so we are able to track their location.  When a cat is treed we hike in to check the size and make the decision to take it or not. We also will be hiking areas to check for tracks. This hunt is done in gentle to steep terrain. Depending on snow conditions and time of the year we can some time’s hike up to 8 miles a day chasing a lion and then again we might tree the lion in 30 minutes. These hunts have a high success rate 90% for the last 4 years providing the weather co-operates; you will have a very good chance in getting a great lion. Tag fee or nonresidents in units 15, 19, 20, 16A & 20A. The tag cost is $41.75 in these areas. The nonresident hunting license fee is $164.75.  You can also get a second tag for $41.75 in units 19, 20, 16A & 20A. 

We charge $1,500.00 more to hunt for a second lion. This is not a trophy fee but a cost to hunt for a second lion after you have shot your first lion. Bobcats can also be shot, if in season which usually runs from December 15th to February 28th each year. We have a $800.00 trophy fee on bobcats. We will also allow you to shoot a wolf at no cost if one is spotted during your hunt, you must have a wolf tag, cost is $31.75 and must be pre-purchased. The hunt includes all lodging and meals. We pick-up at the Lewiston airport for mountain lion hunts. Once your lion is taken your hunt is over, you will be able to stay at the lodge until your departure date.

Bighorn Sheep Hunts:  These are 10-day hunts from camps and lodges. We use jet boats and horses to access out hunting area. We hunt the main Salmon River from White Water Ranch to Wind River drainage sheep hunt area 19. These are custom hunts call for more information. Sheep tags are by drawing you must submit in April. Give us a call and we will assist you on applying for the correct tag.
