Wing shooting in Argentina is an activity that must be experienced rather than explained. It takes place in Argentina’s central region. Argentina is a very large country with few inhabitants in the rural areas.

                                        Dove Hunting

Arroyito in the province of Cordoba is well known for its huge population of doves and other wing shooting species. That is why thousands of American and European hunters choose to visit us annually looking for the challenge of more than 1000 daily shots.
               

JJ Caceria offers 15,000 acres of private land, only 20 minutes away from the lodge. Within our land we have a roost where 20,000,000 doves fly all day long, back and forth from roost to food and water.

                                        Duck Hunting

The environment for Argentina duck hunting makes it one of the most exciting hunts of its kind. It is well-known that Argentina is one of the most exquisite places for small game, particularly, for water-fowl hunting. The duck hunting is carried out in the province of Corrientes. Duck are hunted from blinds made of natural vegetation from the area, which gives the hunting a natural frame that is beyond comparison. Ducks are attracted using decoys and whistles. Besides, a week before the hunting starts, the lakes are baited with sorghum and corn, since, in Argentina, it is allowed to attract ducks with food. Normally, duck hunting is performed in the morning while partridge hunting is performed in the afternoon. The daily bag limit is 30 to 40 ducks per day.                                              

There are 11 different duck species available for you to hunt, namely, Rosy-billed Pochard, White-Faced whistling duck, speckled teal, Silver teal, Southern widgeon, Brazilian duck, Red shoveler, White-cheeked pintail, Brown pintail, Fulvous tree duck and Cinnamon teal.

                                       Partridge Hunting

Partridge hunting is one of the most traditional of Argentina hunting practices; sown fields and grassy hills provide adequate cover for the partridge. Dogs are used to point the bird and then the hunter flushes the bird to shoot. Partridge hunting is normally carried out in the afternoon after a good morning of duck hunting, and a great lunch with a short rest period after lunch.

                                          Pigeon Hunting  

Pigeons in Argentina are not a plague like the doves, but there is a really large population in peanut and corn sown fields located about 70 miles from the Cordoba airport. You will be able to shoot 200 pigeons a day; a limit is set by JJ Caceria in its fields, so that you and any hunter coming after you enjoy the same hunting quality.

Argentina hunting offers a wide variety of game animals, enormous expanse of uninhabited areas, and surprisingly low cost. It's no surprise that it is a favorite hunting destination of sportsman from Europe as well as the United States. In addition to world class wingshooting, hunters will find big game animals like red stag, axis and fallow deer, blackbuck antelope and European wild boar that roam free and grow to amazing size.

                                        Red Stag Hunting

There are two ways of hunting red stag in Argentina that depend mostly on the geography, mountain or bush hunting. In the mountain hunting, all season long, walking or on horseback, the hunter glasses the valleys and ridges until he locates his prey. Shots are usually from 100 to 300 meters. This is a dynamic and visual hunt.


               

Bush hunting takes place during the rutting season, from March 15th to Aril 15th. The prey is located by the sound of its roar (much like all bugles) and carefully stalked until seen. Shots seldom exceed 100 meters. This type of hunting requires the use of the five senses plus a sixth one, the sense of the hunter.

                                         Water Buffalo

Water buffalo are the biggest animals hunted in Argentina. They are found in their natural habitat in or near the swamps. The whole year is very good for buffalo hunting.


                                  

We hunt them from horseback or on foot. Shots are made at a short distance so expect lots of thrill and excitement from hunting this large and dangerous animal.

                                     Blackbuck Antelope

          

Blackbuck may be hunted from vehicles or on foot. Shots will range from 150 meters to much farther. The hunter may also choose to hunt from a stand where the shots are much closer.

                                              Wild Boar

Hunters must sit in a stand near a watering place and always hunt under the light of a full moon.

                   Goat, Four Horned Ram and Wild Sheep

In the last years we have had an overpopulation of these animals and you will be allowed to hunt them all year long.

                                       Fallow and Axis Deer

You will stalk your prey in open or semi open country. The shots are usually medium to long range and it is not necessary to hunt only during the rutting season.
