Looking to bag that "Illinois Trophy" ?

Tired of hearing about the "Hunt of a Lifetime" ?

Want a chance to experience quality hunting with             people that care about Guiding you to success

Wabash Outdoors is located in the southeastern part of Illinois, where the Wabash River meets the Little Wabash and Ohio River. We are a licensed and insured Illinois Outfitter. Our 4000 acres of hunting ground includes woods, bottom-land, wetlands, sloughs, and agricultural fields. The combination of habitats helps produce the large mature bucks that Gallatin and White county are noted for. Being located in the bottom-land also provides Wabash Outdoors with ideal sloughs to hunt ducks and the woods to provide great turkey hunting.

                  Trophy Whitetail Deer Hunting

Wabash Outdoors offers fantastic Southern Illinois whitetail deer hunting. Our deer hunting is done in southeastern Illinois where we intensely manage 4000 + acres of prime whitetail habitat where the Wabash River and Little Wabash River meet. This great location consists of agriculture fields, hardwood woodlots, ridges and river bottoms. These Wabash and Ohio River bottom bucks are sure to give you buck fever whether you decide to hunt with a shotgun, bow, or muzzleloader.

We scout the managed ground year-round to ensure that all stand locations are strategically placed for the best chance to harvest a trophy whitetail buck. The stands are metal ladder stands. Our stands are maintained to ensure your safety and are placed long before the season begins. All stands are placed at heights between 14 ft. and 24 ft. depending on the location.  We also have pop-up type blinds for those that request them or if the situation requires that type of set-up. If you would like to use your own climber, you are welcome to bring it and your guide will place it for you.

During your hunt you will be assisted by a professional guide, with two on one guide service. He will place you in the very best spot for you to harvest a mature, whitetail buck. Our guides have over fifty years combined experience in hunting large trophy class whitetails. Your guide will help in tracking your deer, field dress it, transport it to the lodge and take it to the processor if required. Limiting the number of hunters per week gives the dedicated trophy hunter the personal attention he or she needs to have the chance to harvest the trophy of a lifetime.

              Southern Illinois River Duck Hunting

We have different areas we have developed which are specifically designed for waterfowl. From the river bottoms to flooded corn fields, our abundance of hunting ground makes our waterfowl hunting some of the best in Southern Illinois.

Because the river only floods on occasion, we have both backwater and small sloughs, making our ability to guide you to success even that much better! Our duck hunts are usually day hunts. We can also offer a week package which includes a stay in our lodge. If you choose to come for a day hunt, your day will begin at our lodge where you will be provided a full breakfast. Then from there our guides will take you out for a half day hunt. We'd then return you to the lodge for a lunch. We will clean and wrap your ducks for an additional charge. We also offer muli-day hunts and lodging.

                   Lodging

Our lodge is in the process of being built (Photo current as of June 30th, 2012) We will have everything up and running by Sept. 1st ready to take our first client in October!

It has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large great room, game/lounge room, professional grade kitchen, and on sight cooler for those early kills. It sits on 35 acres and only 100yrds from the Little Wabash River, which holds some great fishing and the guides are able to take you into stand positions by boat. The lodge is very private and provides the relaxation most hunters expect out of a quality hunt. Continue to watch for updated pictures of the inside as we progress through the next couple of weeks!

The meals at Wabash Outdoors are one of the major highlights about our lodge! Our guests are served three meals a day. A breakfast of your choice, for lunch each hunter is given a choice of taking a sack lunch to the stand or returning to the lodge, and our dinners are cooked right in our open kitchen. Dinners may range from steaks and ribs right off the grill to home cooked fried chicken, all home cooked! And to top that , we have homemade pies and cakes for desert.

Thanks for visiting and please Contact Us for additional                                           information and open dates.
