Based out of Mount Vernon Illinois, Southern Illinois Outfitters offers heart pounding guided whitetail hunts in Jefferson, Franklin, and Wayne counties. The majority of our hunts take place in Jefferson county. We provide all our hunters with a first class hunting opportunity of a lifetime. Southern Illinois is famous for corn and soybeans which along with our areas great genetics produce the biggest bucks in the country!!!!

                 

We limit our hunters and do not over hunt our lands! We are in this business to put our hunters on big southern Illinois bucks and make sure they have a good time. All of our Whitetail hunts are 100% FAIR CHASE and we do not guarantee you a trophy buck. What we do guarantee you, is a better chance at that big Illinois buck than your average Jefferson county resident. That alone says alot because here in Southern Illinois people take their deer hunting more serious than probably anywhere else in the country. This is because we produce some of the biggest bucks in the country!! Multiple Trophy Bucks are killed in and around Jefferson county each year!

Southern and Central Illinois are Famous for World-Class Whitetail, we are located in the heart of it. We are one of the premiere counties in Illinois, however we get half the pressure as some of the more famous counties. Counties such as Pike get three or four times the hunting pressure as Jefferson county.

We love eveything about deer hunting but, our passion is bow hunting. Certain properties of ours that our designated for bow hunting only. By maintaining a 125 inch minimum on our bucks this ensures us years of quality deer hunting. There are multiple bucks on our properties in the 130 - 150 inch range with several in the 160+ range. Having seen personally or photographed on our trail cam cameras some bucks in the 180's to 190's. We know that 200+ incher is out there,  a penalty of $500 for shooting a buck below our standards has been our policy.

Archery hunts
 

• October 28th-November 1st. Mon-Fri 5 day archery hunt. Includes meals and 6 nights stay. $1,999
• November 4th-8th Mon-Fri 5 day archery hunt. Includes meals and 6 nights stay. $2,250
• November 11th-15th. Mon-Fri 5 day archery hunt. Includes meals and 6 nights stay. $2,500
• November 17th-21st. Sun-Thurs 5 day archery hunt. Includes meals and 6 nights stay. $2,500
• November 25th-29th. Mon-Fri 5 day archery hunt. Includes meals and 6 nights stay. $1,999  

       NEW to Illinois!! Crossbow hunts. $325 per day ( 3 day minimum ) you pick your days. Lodging and meals included. Season begins December 9th 2013. We have bow hunting only properties that assure good hunting late into the season.

 Combo hunts

   November 18th-24th. Mon-Sun 4 days archery and 3 days gun. Includes meals and 8 nights stay. $4,500 

•   December 1st-8th. Mon-Sun 3 days archery and 4 days gun. Includes meals and 8 nights stay. $3,500

 Gun hunts

   November 22nd-24th. First firearms season. Friday-Sunday 3 days firearms hunt. Includes meals and 4 nights stay. $2,999

•   December 5th-8th. Second firearms season. Thursday-Sunday 4 day firearms hunt. Includes meals and 5 nights stay. $2,500
•   December  13th-15th. Muzzleloader only season. Friday-Sunday 3 day Muzzleloader only hunt. Includes meals and 4 nights stay. $2,250       

          Lodging and meals are included in price!

• The night before your hunt and the night after your hunt is included. 
• We provide FIRST CLASS PRIVATE LODGING. No dormitory style lodging. See our lodging page. 
• $500 deposit is due within 7 days of booking to secure your hunt. We offer individual payment plans. Just ask. 
• No refunds. In case of ligitement family emergency money MAY be applied to the next years hunt. We want to be fair, but we don't want to be taken advantage of.
• Hunters 16 years old and under 1/2 price with paid adult.  
• 10% discount on groups of 4 or more!  
• 10% discount for full time police, fire, and military personnel. 
• Bring your wife, girl friend, or non-hunting friend with you. You will have a private room.  

      Search around and you will find cheeper outfitters, but keep one thing in mind, you get what you pay for! Lodging, number of hunters, one on one contact, and professional guides make a difference. Our integrity is second to none!
