Our vast, exclusive territory of 346 square kilometres has lots of various animals like the powerful Black Bear, Moose, Whitetail Deer, Wolf and more as it has a natural environment of high quality that is almost untouched.

Our territory is in Zone 15 West.

Apart from Moose, which has always been around at Mekoos, there is a lot of Whitetail Deer and Black Bear around as well.

   
These latter species have not been hunted here for the last several decades, allowing the Black Bear to increase its population considerably while the Whitetail Deer was expanding its territory to the north.

May 15 to June 30 - Firearm, Crossbow and Bow

Hunters can also opt for a package "bear hunting and fishing." Therefore, between hunting seasons, they can tease the fish species for which fishing is permitted during this period.

Mekoos offers a fabulous hunting territory for small game enthusiasts, as there are more than 500 kilometres of gravel roads and trails. During your walks in the woods, you will find a large number of ruffed grouse (partridge), spruce grouse and snowshoe hares.
