Exotic Animal Hunting in Tennessee Goodman Ranch hunting outfitters has become known as a place to go when you want to harvest a true Trophy. We have been in operation for over 20 years and offer many different species of native and exotic animals for trophy hunting. We take pride in managing our herds and being able to offer some the best quality hunting in the southeast. With so many animals to offer, it is often hard to decide on what you want. Well, come look at all the different species and trophies we have, then make up your mind. We know you will find what you are looking for. We hunt on over 2000 acres of hardwood and pine forests and food plots. Spot and stalk hunting is our favorite method of hunting. Our clients really enjoy slipping in slowly and quietly to try to get close enough for that perfect shot.
It does not matter if your an experienced hunter or just starting out. Goodman Ranch offers a challenging hunt for everyone. We offer southern down home hospitality and strive to make our guests feel like part of the family. Take a break from the city life and book a weekend vacation with your family and bring them along on your hunt. Family hunts ensure you will be the only guests at the ranch for your own privacy and enjoyment. We will keep the children busy and allow the adults to rest and relax. Spend some quality time with them in the great outdoors.
You will see one of the largest herds of exotic animals in the Southeast at our ranch. There are over 500 big game animals living on our ranch. This picture is some of the Whitetail, Sika, and Blackbuck Antelope on our ranch.
Most of our animals are raised here on the ranch, like this herd of Aoudad.
Our hunting lodge has 4 private bedrooms, and we host up to 8 hunters at a time. All your meals are custom prepared for you and served in our large great room. We guarantee you will not leave hungry. You are in charge of your visit, and we will play as hard as you want to. Many of our guests come to just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet we offer here. During your stay, you are welcome to enjoy the many other different activities available at the ranch. We offer wildlife viewing and photography, hiking, trail riding, horseback riding, fishing in our stocked lakes, and relaxing around the campfire.
Antelope hunting is always a great challenge here at the ranch. We have been raising Blackbuck Antelope for over 3 years and have had the opportunity to harvest several other species such as Gemsbok, Oryx, and Addax. Our Blackbuck generally score in the SCI record book.
Trophy Hunting is our specialty. You will see a variety of different ages of animals. We know you are always looking for the "Big One" and we work hard to put you on that trophy of a lifetime. Aoudad Hunting is one of the most challenging hunts we offer.
We have been raising Axis deer for over 20 years and offer a large mature herd for your hunting experience. Our mature Stags will score in the SCI record book.
Bison or Buffalo hunting has become much more popular in the last few years because of the value of their meat. You will definitely need an empty freezer to hold one of these. Their hides make beautiful rugs, and their shoulder mounts are very impressive. We started raising these last year, and our herd is growing.
Elk Hunting is considered to be one of the most sought after hunts in North America. They once roamed all over the US, but now are only in select parts of the country. Tennessee reintroduced Elk several years ago, but the population has not grown enough to offer open season on them yet. We are fortunate to be able to harvest these majestic animals on our ranch. Book your fall Elk hunt now because hunts are limitedCLICK HERE.
We have also been raising Fallow deer for over 20 years. These magnificent animals come in several different color patterns, and we have them all. Don't think the white ones will be an easy prey. It is amazing how fast these animals can disappear into a pine thicket!
Whitetail deer hunting is the most popular hunting sport in North America. These Gray Ghosts are a challenge for anyone. We have been managing our whitetail herd for over 20 years. Clover food plots are our choice for high protein, and Buck Buster Mineral is our choice for a supplement. These two combined together have given us a healthy herd that continues to grow larger each year. These are not farm raised or genetically altered whitetail. We simply manage the herd we have. Nutrition and management allows to continually harvest mature whitetail in the 130"-150" range each year. Come try your skills on these extremely wary bucks. Be sure and book early because there are a limited number of hunts. CLICK HERE
Exotic Ram hunting is one of our least expensive hunts, but still very exciting. The rams typically stay together in herds, and this makes it difficult to get very close. There are always eyes watching in all directions. Taking one of these with a bow is a great challenge. These make some of the best mounts we see and add color to a trophy wall. We offer several different species including Texas Dall, Black Hawaiian, Corsican, Mouflan, Barbarossa, Painted Desert, and Spanish or Catalina Goats.
Eastern Turkeys are arguably the hardest Turkey to hunt. They seem a little more wary than the other species. Some days they can make you look like a professional turkey caller and most other days they will make you feel like a fool. We only do spring turkey hunting here, but it lasts about 6 weeks. We only book hunts for the amount of birds we have and strive to make eveyone successful. We average about a 90% harvest rate for our hunters. Come try your skill at calling in one of these beautiful gobblers. If calling is something you struggle with, then come on anyway and one of our guides will help you bring one in close. Nothing quite as exciting as watching a gobbler come strutting in from 100 yds away.
Quail hunting is a tradition that has been struggling for many years. The population decrease of the Bob White Quail in the 1980's has never recovered. The loss of habitat and predator numbers on the rise makes it difficult for these beautiful birds to make a come back. We raise about 6,000 quail each year and have two beautiful courses on the banks of the Hatchie River where we hunt them. We supply the dogs and the guide. All you need is a quick hand and your shotgun.
Byron Ferguson is a world renowned exhibition archer. We have been lucky enough to call him a friend for many years. Twice a year we host the Byron Ferguson Bare Bow Archery School here at the ranch. We host up to 8 students and offer the most private lessons available from this legendary archer. Click Here to find out more about the school.
