Located just off the Rocky Mountains in the high plains of Southeastern Wyoming, Bar-Nunn Hunting is second to none. Southeastern Wyoming is also home to some of the finest Antelope Hunting, Elk Hunting, Mountain Lion Hunting, Prairie Dog Hunting, and Wyoming Mule Deer hunting.

Bar-Nunn Hunting is an authorized permit holder of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests and Thunder Basin National Grassland.

Mule Deer Hunting & Whitetail Hunts: Each year we take out only a very limited number of deer hunters. A Wyoming mule deer hunt is a very interesting adventure that can be one of the most challenging hunts we offer. To meet your Trophy expectations and maintain a healthy herd, we are very selective in the number and type of Deer we harvest each year off of our private ranches.

Trophy Elk Hunting: Bar-Nunn provides the opportunity to take home that Bull Elk you have been dreaming of. Each year we take a very limited number of bull elk hunters. Our primary focus for each and every one of our elk hunters is to send them home with a nice 6x6 Bull Elk. Year after year the areas we hunt consistently produce 300-370 class Bulls. In the last 6 years only one hunter, who passed up shooting opportunities, did not fill his tag. We start our Elk hunts well before daylight and hunt until dark to give you the Best Opportunity to fill your tag with the Biggest Bull Elk we can find. It is not uncommon while hunting with us to encounter herds of up to 300 head of Elk. Our Elk season runs October - December.

Mountain Lion Hunting: The Wyoming Mountain Lion season runs Sep–Mar, however the most successful time to hunt a Mtn Lion is during the winter months. We like to schedule our Mtn Lion hunts from Nov-Mar when there is adequate snow on the ground for our dogs to help track and catch these elusive animals. We start early in the morning looking for fresh tracks. Once we have found a good track, the hunt is on!

                      

This can be a very long day of hiking through the toughest of terrain. We strongly encourage all of our Mtn Lion hunters to get in the best shape possible prior to their hunt. Due to the extreme physical exertion required for this hunt we strongly discourage anyone with health concerns or medical problems from attempting this hunt.

Prairie Dog Hunting: Summer Prairie Dog hunts for sportsmen of any age and/or shooting ability. A Prairie Dog hunt will give you the opportunity to shoot as much as you desire. We have thousands of these little varmints running around. It is not uncommon for a single person to shoot 300-500 rounds in a day. For the hunter looking for a challenge the wide open rangelands of Wyoming are the perfect place to master your long range shooting skills. Our Prairie Dog hunts are an affordable hunt that does not require any type of license or permit, just lots of ammunition. Prairie Dog Hunting is also a great opportunity for a young sportsman to practice shooting skills and develop confidence with a firearm at various distances.

Lodging: For the hunter looking for the complete outdoor adventure our tent camp provides you with exactly that. Our camp consists of exclusively Cabela’s top of the line tents. The 12x12 Cabela’s Deluxe Alaknak tent provides plenty of space and the best of protection from the harshest of conditions. All of our tents are equipped with wood or propane heat and heavy duty sleeping cots to make sure you stay warm and comfortable even on the coldest of nights.

Hunters looking for accommodations of home, Laramie has several motels. Most of our hunting ground is located within a 30 minute drive from Laramie. Our prices do not include motel rates but we are happy to make reservations for you and build them into the hunt price.
