                              Big Game Hunting in Wyoming and Colorado

Thank you for your interest in our exceptional Wyoming and Colorado hunting opportunities. We hope you will give us the opportunity to be your big game outfitter of choice this season and for many seasons to come. The high concentration of Mule Deer, Elk, and Antelope found on our ranches are some of the best in the nation and are sure not to disappoint.

                   

Our primary hunting area in south central Wyoming plays host to both migratory herds of Elk and Deer as well as many residential groups of Elk, Deer, and Antelope. Our ranches are well managed to ensure increasing Trophy Quality each year.

                  

Archery & Rifle Trophy Mule Deer Hunting: Savery Creek Outfitters is located in the very heart of some of the Best Mule Deer Hunting in the country. Fully guided, semi-guided, and self guided hunts for deer are offered to fit almost any hunter's need. The abundance and high quality of Deer in the area makes for a very exciting and successful hunt. Spot and stalk and treestands are the main methods used depending on the terrain.

                 

Over the last 4 years we have been 100% opportunity and over 95% success on our rifle hunts and over 90% opportunity on our archery hunts.
The season dates are: September 1-30 for archery and October 1-14 for rifle.

Elk Hunting - big herds, numerous elk Savery Creek Outfitters offers some of the Best Elk Hunting available in Wyoming. Our primary hunting acreage, located in the draws and mountain timbers that rise up from Savery Creek, hosts an exceptionally large number of both residential and migratory Elk herds each year.

                  

Due to the large number of animals, expansive hunting area, and numerous water and food sources, this hunt promises not to disappoint. First time hunters and experienced hunters alike will surely enjoy the access to numerous herds of Elk that call our ranches home during the fall season. This fully guided hunt is run from our main lodge up the Savery Creek Valley. It includes many amenities that help ensure you have a Memorable and Heart Racing Elk Hunting Experience.

                  
   
ARCHERY: The majority of the archery hunts are run during the last half of September, during the peak of the rut. In past years this hunt has proven to be exhilarating from the start with many Elk and multiple bulls seen daily. Our thick timber patches allow enough cover for spot and stalk type hunting but include open areas and clear lanes perfect to get your target in your sites. Tree stands and ground blinds are also used to increase the success of each hunter and fit you particular hunting style and goal.

                 

RIFLE: season falls later during the year and extends from October 15th – October 24th. The primary method of rifle Elk hunting is done using a spot and stalk approach with 4x4 vehicles to transport you from the lodge to your primary hunting destination. As the elk come down from higher elevations during this season they funnel through our ranches. Our low pressure hunting style helps keep our area as a sanctuary for these migratory herds.

Whether you are hunting archery elk during the rut or rifle Elk later in the season you can expect to see numerous Elk daily. Over the past years we have had great success, offering 100% opportunity and 95% hunt success each year.

Trophy Antelope: Hunting: Savery Creek Outfitters offers Antelope hunts in one of the best trophy areas in the state of Wyoming. These licenses are harder to draw, but big bucks are there for those who draw.


                   

Archery Antelope: Season for Antelope runs from August 15 through September 19.
Rifle Antelope: Season for Antelope runs from September 20 through October 14.

                     

We concentrated on running most of our hunts during September. With the High Numbers and Trophy Quality of the Antelope in this area, spot and stalk is a very fun way to try to hunt these antelope. When you are tired of chasing them around, we have blinds set up near water holes. Everyone that Savery Creek Outfitters has guided has has an opportunity at harvesting a pope and young buck.

Spot and stalk is very effective in hunting Antelope in this area. Everyone that has ever rifle hunted Antelope with Savery Creek Outfitters has been successful.

SCO Antelope hunts are located in trophy areas. These licenses are difficult to draw, but big bucks are there for those who draw. We try to convince everyone that hunts Deer and Elk to also put in for an Antelope license, if they want.

                  

Mountain Lion Hunts: The season for lions is long running from September 1 through March.

We hunt with dogs, and good snow helps in finding tracks so we usually wait until November 15th to start chasing lions. We also set some traps and call predators during this hunt. We run 5 day hunts with additional days being added if needed.  We are usually 100% success on good size cats. This is a very fun hunt and a nice way to get outside during the off season.

Bear Hunts: We are seeing numerous bear tracks in this area in the snow this year.  The spring Bear season that starts April 15 should be really awesome!

                  

Wyoming Bear tags are over the counter, no draw required.  Savery Creek Outfitters runs Bear hunts over baits.  There is a wide variety of color phase in this area and there should be some big Bears out this spring!  We also run bear hunts in the fall from September 1 - October 31. Bear can be hunted separately or in a combo with big game animals.

Savery Creek Outfitters Main Lodge: Our Wyoming hunting lodge is fully equiped with comfortable cabins and delicious home-cooked meals, contributing to the homestyle hospitality of your stay with us. Hot showers and a pool table add to your comfort and leisure.

                  

The lodge and cabins are also available for private summer/winter getaways. These will be arranged around the client's schedule and needs.
