Macon County Guide Service, located in Alabama, has offered some of the finest Whitetail Deer and Bobcat Hunts in the south for tweny years. With Alabama's Deer population at 1.7 million, Macon along with Bullock County consistently rank as top producers of mature Whitetail Bucks. With a variety of prime habitat, consisting of farmland, cutovers, pine plantations and hardwood creek bottoms we can provide quality hunts throughout the season. Macon County Guide Service has always strived to not only provide a quality hunt, but a quality experience. We specialize in small groups of hunters, with a limit of six hunters per hunt, thus minimizing the pressure on the property and providing a more personal hunt.

Included in Hunt: All hunts include meals, lodging, stands and complete meat care and trophy preparation.


Meals and Lodging:
* Guests stay in semi-private rooms with two hunters to each room.
* A full breakfast is served each morning,
* a simple lunch during the middle of the day
* a full home-cooked dinner is served each evening.

Hunting Seasons and Dates:
* Archery hunts - two 5 day hunts during the first two weeks of November.
* Muzzleloader Hunts - 5-day hunt, November 14 - November 19.
* Rifle Hunts - 5 day hunt November 21 - 27 & December 27 - January 30

We offer a total of five hunts during this time period.
Each hunt is 5 days. We do not hunt the majority of December, again minimizing the pressure and assuring quality hunting throughout the rut. Each hunt has a maximum of six hunters per hunt.

Meat Care & Trophy Prep:
* All Deer taken are boned out and packaged for transportation at no additional cost.
* Trophy Bucks are caped out and prepared for the taxidermist.
* A local processor is available for complete meat processing and packaging for an additional fee if requested.



Hunting Stands:
* Hunt out of tripod stands, metal ladder stands and shooting houses, depending on the terrain we will be hunting.
* Bow hunters will have access to climbing and loc-on type stands and are welcome to bring their own personal climber if they wish.
