Mike's Outfitting LTD. guiding area is located in North Western Alberta Canada along the Peace River. It is owned and operated by myself, Mike Ukrainetz and my wife Jen. We provide personalized hunts for a small number of hunters each week out of our home/lodge.

Our priority is to sell hunts honestly, deliver on what we promise and to cater to your specific needs.


Alberta Black Bear Hunting: We have been doing very successful bear hunts since 1992. Our zone has an incredible number of black bears. It isn't uncommon for our hunters to see 30-40 bears in a week so filling your 2 bear limit is practically guaranteed. Many of our black bears are colored and we have a good number of huge bodied, record book ones. Several of them have been shot in just the last few years. We cater to bowhunters and welcome hunters with all weapons.

Alberta Whitetail Deer Hunting: Alberta is well known for it's huge whitetail deer and our area is one of the best. It has the genetics, feed and escape cover to grow huge northern Canadian whitetails. You get to hunt these big bucks throughout the rut and you have an excellent chance to kill a massive 150 to 170 score whitetail deer with the possibility for something much larger. You will be hunting well scouted stand sites in both private agricultural land and public forest areas.

Alberta Moose Hunting: The number of moose in this zone is unbelievable and it is a physically easy hunt. On the rifle hunts you will have a 90% to 100% chance to get a 35 to 45 inch wide bull moose with the possibility for a 50 incher. You could see upwards of 30 moose per day. The moose hunts are done as a rut hunt in late September or as a late season hunt in early November. Both moose rifle hunts are equally successful. The moose bowhunts are done as a combo hunt with elk in the pre-rut in August and September.

Alberta Elk Hunting: This is one of the few places in North America where you get to hunt elk with a rifle or a bow during the peak of the exciting rut season. It is also very reasonably priced. You have a very good chance to kill a mature, heavy 5 or 6 point bull elk. Physically it is a relatively easy elk hunt in mainly flat farmland and bush country at low elevation. Bowhunters get the first elk hunt of the year and we do it as a combo hunt with moose giving an excellent opportunity to get both species in one hunt. Rifle hunters go next on September 17 and you have a 75% or better chance for success on a good elk.

Alberta Mule Deer Hunting: We have saved the best for last and that is our mule deer hunting. The mule deer in our zone are phenomenal, both in numbers of deer and trophy quality. We built our reputation, since 1994, on getting big mule deer in the prairie area of Southern Alberta and the northern Peace River country is even better. You have a very good chance to kill a 170 to possibly over 200 inch deer with a rifle or a bow. Rifle mule deer combo rut hunts with whitetails are also available.



Additional Activities: On all of our hunts you are provided with a wolf license, you could be the lucky hunter that gets a chance at one of these elusive creatures. Trout fishing at a nearby stocked lake is also available throughout the year.
