Located in the heart of prime moose country in Central B.C. the hunting territory of Lehman Creek Outfitters retains the exclusive guide outfitting rights to 600 square miles within one of Canada's southernmost wilderness areas. Its secluded area has an abundance of natural habitat for a variety of big game animals including bear, mountain caribou and moose. Access into this territory is restricted and difficult so the game is protected from over-hunting.

Lehman Creek Outfitters is a family-owned hunting business operated by Dave and Deb Altherr. Dave has ranched in the remote Chilcotin region of British Columbia since 1977 and Deb worked as a professional cook throughout northern B.C.

Moose Hunting - 10 days:
Restrictions require that hunters access the area either by horseback or on foot therefore they should be in reasonably good physical condition. To ensure you the best possible chance, we have allowed ten days per hunt and the guides will hunt as hard as the client desires. Our guides are highly qualified with many years experience hunting Moose in the region. Dates: Sep 10, Oct 15, Sep 21 or Oct 02

Caribou Hunting - 10 days: The caribou herd in this particular mountain range is non-migratory and numbers over 2800 head. It is the biggest herd of mountain caribou in the southern half of British Columbia. This is a very popular hunt as there is a good selection of trophy caribou bulls available. Dates: Sep 21 or Oct 2

Moose-Caribou Combo Hunts: combination hunts begin with a caribou hunt in an alpine camp located a day's ride from base camp. After the caribou is taken, hunters, guides and bagged game move down to moose camp.

Other Game: Wolf, black bear and deer can be hunted, as a secondary species, in combination with moose and caribou. There is no additional fee for hunting secondary species unless the animal is harvested.

Accommodations: Depending on the location, our out-camps are either secluded cabins or large wall tents equipped with portable showers and wood heaters - providing a warm, dry place to rest after a long day's hunt. We supply the bunks, foam mattresses and all meals. All camps are equipped with radio telephones. All hunts include meals, lodging, horse and tack, caping and salting of trophies and one guide for two hunters, unless otherwise requested.
