Eastern Shore Waterfowlers are based in Kent and Queen Annes Counties on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The Eastern Shore of Maryland has always offered some of the best goose hunting in the world. At one time the Eastern Shore of Maryland was considered the Goose hunting Capital of the World.

The Shore is abundant with marshes, creeks, ponds etc. that attract a variety of waterfowl. The fields adjacent to the waters contain a variety of food sources that attract the Canadian geese and provide the hunter an excellent place to harvest them during their winter migration.

In the mid 90’s it was necessary to ban goose hunting along the Eastern Flyway due to poor management practices. The State of Maryland has proposed a short season during the 2001-2002 season that offers waterfowlers abroad to return to the field and hunt the Canadian Goose once again.

The Canadian Geese have made a tremendous comeback and flourish in great numbers. They have adapted well in the last few years and feel comfortable feeding in small yards, golf courses, along roadways etc. During the last few years our youth has awaited for the opportunity to harvest geese like their fathers and grandfathers did in previous years.
