Hunting in New York for Geese and Whitetail Deer

Bonac Boys Guide Service is owned and operated by Robert Miller, Licensed U.S.C.G Captain and N.Y.S licensed guide and son James Miller, N.Y.S licensed guide. I have hunted ducks, geese, and deer over the past 35+ years with my father and carried that tradition on with my sons. Goose hunting has always been my main passion! I have been fortunate enough to hunt the best of hunting areas in both East Hampton and Southampton towns.

Hunting Blinds: I maintain 7 working pit blinds, 2 hedgerow blinds and numerous other locations for lay down blind hunting. I also have 2 floating duck blinds for those interested in shooting diver ducks. I also have numerous tree stand and ground blind locations for archery and/or shotgun deer hunts. I have traveled the country over the past 20 years hunting ducks, geese and deer, even going to Argentina twice, but still my most memorable experiences are hunting with my family and friends right here in Bonac.

Goose / Duck Hunts:
These hunts are done out of pit, hedgerow and lay down blinds in both corn fields and rye lots. We shoot over fully mounted canadian goose stuffers (that we mount ourselves). Since we have numerous locations, we are able to hunt the areas which will afford us the best hunting opportunities due to existing weather conditions and/or time of year, eg; feeding patterns and migrations.

Diver Ducks: These hunts are done out of camouflaged floating duck blinds for a mixed bag of ducks with can include bufflehead, goldeneye, mergansers, gadwall, scoter, old squaw, blue bills, black duck, canvasback, mallard and geese.

Deer Hunts:
These hunts are done out of strategically placed tree stands and/or ground blinds (both factory and man made). We also do still and drive hunting. The archery rut season is the best time for a chance at trophy bucks. Our shotgun hunts are a great time for father/son hunts (call for pricing and availability). This being my favorite type of hunt over the years.

Lodging & Meals not included: However, breakfast will be supplied on all hunts. If you want to bring your own retriever, advanced notice is required and you will be held responsible for the dog. Vicious dogs will terminate the hunt immediately.

What to Bring: Gun Ammo (non-toxic shots only...#4, #2, BB's, BBB's) Your Eye! Warm Clothing, Boots (Waders, cut-offs, knee boots), Binoculars, Camera, Snacks, Cooler.
