Located in Central Georgia, Black Creek Plantation is a family owned hunting plantation dedicated to assuring that you and your guest have an unforgettable hunting experience. With over 1500 acres dedicated and managed we offer hunts for Quail, Pheasant, Wild Hog, Deer and Turkey. Family vacations or weekend getaways. Fishing for Trophy Largemouth Bass an offseason option. Quail Hunts: At Black Creek Plantation, you can enjoy Bobwhite Quail hunting in plantation style. You can hunt out the front door of the lodge in a combination of thinned pines, open area and some cover, a challenging course for both man and dog. Several courses offering varying degrees of difficulty are available. The terrain is constantly groomed for maximum quail production. We use an early release program coupled with “Johnny Houses” that allow quail exposure to the wild while giving them food and water in a secure environment. The result are coveys that will flush together just as wild coveys do.

Deer Hunts: over 1500 acres and over 15 years of quality Deer management. The average Buck will gross 120+ B&C points with our largest Buck to date grossing over 155 B&C. Most hunting is done from tree stands (climbers, ladder, ground blinds and box stands). You are welcome to bring your own stand. We scout each tract for months and place stands where we have seen good bucks and buck sign. With over 20 years hunting this property we have the knowledge to help you come eye-to-eye with a nice buck.

Hog Hunts - Stand Hunting or Still Hunting: You will be hunting free ranging wild hogs on over 2000 acres. Hunting is done from box and ladder stands in areas that the hogs have been using. You may take as many hogs as desired. A typical hunt takes place over 2 days. Afternoon hunt.

Wild Boar Hunting with Dogs When hunting with dogs, NO FIREARMS or BOWS allowed. Knives and rope only. Two guides go out with two hunters. Once the track dogs locate and bay a Hog the catch dogs will go in and hold the hog for the hunters. The guides will talk you thru the process of gaining control and trying the hog up. This type of hunt is considered dangerous. We use this technique throughout the year with the exception during firearms deer season and turkey season. This is a morning hunt. Max 2 hunters per guide with dogs.

Pheasant Hunts: These shoots are designed to allow plenty of shooting with challenging overhead shots. If you have not tried it then you are missing out on some of the fastest, most exciting shooting action around. We will have retriever on hand to collect the birds but you may bring your dog as well. At the end of the hunt the birds are divided equally among the hunters. Bird cleaning is available for a nominal fee. Lunch is provided either before or after the hunt depending on the time of the shoot. Groups welcome.


Turkey Hunting: 2-3 day hunts. Turkey hunting can become addictive! If you have never heard the thunderous boom of a turkey gobbling on a spring morning then you are in for a treat. Spring gobbler hunting at Black Creek is from late March to May 15th. With over 1500 acres and only 3 groups of hunters everyone has plenty of room. There are two hunters per guide. Hunts begin an hour before daybreak and includes a midday break for lunch. After lunch, it's back looking for a hot gobbling tom. Afternoons of fishing for largemouth bass or hunting wild boar can be included with these hunts.

Hunting Lodge: up to 8 people. Both are available for rent off season ( May - Sept.).The interior has rough-cut lumber that was milled from trees taken off the property during the last timber cutting. It is appointed with leather furniture, outdoor prints and antiques. With all the modern conveniences of home plus large screen satellite TV , heart pine floors, fireplace and front porch with rocking chairs . You are sure to enjoy the peace and quite away from the everyday stress of life.
