The Dunn Deal Hunting Lodge is located in Southern Iowa. Our Lodge is the best that southern Iowa has to offer in hunting, fishing, and recreation! We offer guided and semi-guided hunting for Whitetail Deer, Turkey, Pheasant and Coyote. We have over 5000 acres of private land for hunting in addition to our 300 acres private retreat which hosts 2 ponds, wildlife food plots, and plenty of room to roam. Miles of mowed trails conveniently invite hikers to explore and see nature at it's best.




Whitetail Deer Hunting: Iowa is known as one of the top Trophy Whitetail hunting states in the United States.You can choose between guided or non-guided hunts and lodging is available for resident and non-resident hunters who would like to use our 2, 3 and 5 day hunting options. We even have heated tree stands for those cold winter days of hunting.

Wild Turkey Hunting: spring and fall seasons. Guided or unguided hunts with firearms, muzzleloader or bow. When you choose our lodge, you will be hunting one of the best turkey hunting areas that Iowa has to offer, and our customers have had very high success rates in these areas. Our private turkey hunting areas include some of the richest bottom land, farm and agricultural areas as well as woodlands. It is a one-on-one hunt with our very friendly and qualified guides, whose mission is your success and enjoyment.


Pheasant Hunting: Oct. - Jan.. Guided or Unguided. We’re #1 in Pheasant hunting, with over 1 million roosters shot annually. We have access to some of the best pheasant hunting in South Central and Eastern Iowa, with over 1000 acres of private land available for hunting. Hunt on your own, or hire our guide for the day. The guide will supply hunting dogs and transportation to the field. You are welcome to bring your own dog if you wish. There is a 3 rooster limit per day, with a 12 rooster possession limit per person.


Coyote Hunting: takes place near Lake Rathbun, Iowa. The cold climate really enhances the pelt quality. The hides are thick and in perfect prime condition. The color is usually a light silver or pale. If you're interested in making a coyote fur coat, or just hanging a pelt in the den, these are the skins you want .There are several ways to hunt coyotes, but the one most preferred is calling them in. Terrain ranges from wide open corn and bean fields to wood filled ditches. Much of the time you get to watch the coyotes come in from hundreds of yards out.


Accommodations: The main lodge is available to accommodate 11 people comfortably. It has four bedrooms with two queen size beds in each room. Plus three, eight foot couches that are very comfortable. The lodge has radiant heat flooring along with an AC unit and a regular heater. The main building is over 5,000 square feet with the living quarters being over 2,500 sf. The lodge has a full kitchen and two baths as well as a separate laundry room.
