Established in 1978, Deer Creek was borne of passion, dedication and relentless determination. Legendary for its Trophy Whitetails and it's Wingshooting Deer Creek is truly a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Spring and summer resort activities include trophy catch-and-release bass fishing, horseback riding, 5-stand sporting clays, Birding, and hiking. Deer Creek is widely recognized for its one-fee, “no limit” Wingshooting forays for upland game birds and its unique offering of free-ranging mallards where limits of green-heads are the rule, not the exception!


Trophy Whitetail Deer Hunts: we have implemented one of the nation's first minimum harvest requirements for our Trophy Whitetails. Today, Deer Creek's legendary Hills Region is nationally acclaimed as a premier archery-only Trophy Whitetail operation.

Guided Hunts: Only 8 Whitetail enthusiasts per hunt. Includes meals and lodging in our new 10,000 sq. ft. facility, guides, a minimum of 6 stands per hunt, field transportation, and care of game.

Semi Guided: Only 8 persons per hunt. Includes a knowledgeable guide to put and keep you on Deer and one stand per hunter. You provide additional stands as desired. We can assist you with comfortable lodging within a 20-minute drive of the hunting property or you can camp on-site. Additionally, there is a grocery store nearby. Five-day archery hunts, and 2 1/2 day rifle hunts are available.

First Rate Accommodations: Deer Creek received the 2006-07 Orvis Endorsed Wing Shooting Lodge of the Year! Lodges are required to meet stringent criteria established by the Orvis Company. Prompt, courteous service is a must. Accommodations must be first-rate and always clean & comfortable. Horsdoeuvres and open bar are offered for the after-hunt hours and dining is a memorable experience. Most important, we never accommodate more clients than to which we can personally attend.


Wing Shooting: A variety of Quail and Pheasant packages are available. "Traditional" hunts provide for 16-bird daily limits, Our most popular hunts, however, are conducted under our exclusive one-fee, "No Limit" Quail and Pheasant. Contacts of 18-24 coveys and honest opportunities at upwards or over 200 birds can be expected during a full day of hunting. Add Chukar, Red-leg and Hungarian Partridge, and Mallard for an unforgettable Wingshooting experience. Temperatures of 30-50º F provide comfortable hunting conditions October thru March.

Turkey Hunting: there's an abundance of Wild Turkey on our property. Max of 4 hunters (1 x 1) are accepted per 3-day hunt. Turkey hunts begin with a late afternoon arrival, include 3 nights' private lodging with meals, 3 mornings of guided hunts, birds dressed and vacuum packaged, and a fair-chase opportunity to harvest 2 mature gobblers. 90-100% opportunities.

Bass Fishing: add 2 afternoons of Trophy Bass Fishing for reasonable fee.

Largemouth Bass Fly-Fishing: Experience the excitement of fly fishing for Largemouth Bass on our 30-acre private lake. Managed to produce Large Bass, our lake has been well-stocked with forage: shad, crawfish, sunfish and Bluegills Expect to catch 30-50 bass in a typical day of fishing. We’ve made the decision to go to all fly fishing to increase the fun. If you’ve never tried this fast-growing sport, now is your chance. Our catch-and-release Trophy Bass Lake. you can reasonably expect to catch and release 30 to 50 bass in the 2 to 5 pound range on an average day! Daily Fishing packages are attractively priced and include lodging, meals, and guide. We have tackle available at the lodge for a nominal fee, and flies available in our small fly shop.
