Hunting in Tennessee for Wild Boar, Deer, Elk,
Ram, Goat and other Exotics

The Caryonah Hunting Lodge and Preserve is located in an ideal hunting, but easily accessible, area of the Cumberland Mountains of Tennessee.We have 50 years experience and 39 of those years in the same location. Caryonah has several thousand acres of the finest hunting territory available. We are Tennessee's oldest and largest; and family-owned and operated hunting guide and lodge.

About Our Wild Boar: The wild boar was introduced into Tennessee in 1912. Fast and dangerous, he sports razor-sharp tusks and hulking shoulders to back up his short and cunning charges. Now a mixture of both the Russian Wild Boar and the famed southern "razorback", he has a more savage temper.



We offer the following hunts:

  • Wild Boar Hunting
  • Ram Hunting - Babiroussa, Corsican, Texas Dall, Black Hawaiian, Mouflon Trophy, Ram
  • Goat Hunting - Angora, Spanish
  • Deer Hunting - Sika, Fallow
  • Elk Hunting
  • Other Exotic Hunts are available.


    All of the above may be hunted with rifles or shotguns with slugs. Rifles using rimfire ammunition or less than .24 caliber cannot be used. Semi-automatics are allowed. Handguns 357 caliber or larger. Muzzle loaders, flint or percussion, 40 cal. minimum and 58 cal. maximum. Bows.



    Hunting Lodge: Dine in medieval splendor in the high beamed "Hunter's Hall". Feast on real Tennessee Home Cooking, then relax before the massive rustic fireplace. You may want to browse among Caryonah's outstanding collection of ancient Indian artifacts before retiring to your comfortable rooms, each with it's electric heat and private bath.


    Fishing:     We have small private lakes nearby the Lodge stocked with Bluegill and Bass.

    Directions & Transportation: We are located 80 miles west of Knoxville, 90 miles north of Chattanooga, and 100 miles east of Nashville. You may reach our Lodge with ease from the South or North via Highway 127 or the East and West by Highway 70 or Interstate 40. Crossville's modern 5,400 ft. paved Airport with 24 hour flight service is ideally suited to even large chartered groups of hunters. We will be happy to arrange transportation to and from Crossville Airport for airborne groups. All at no extra cost.
