Hunting in Tennessee for Upland Game, Turkey
with Trout Fishing
|
Nestled
on the banks of Tumbling Creek, our hunting area consists of over a thousand
acres and allows hunters to chase their quarry in a wide variety of habitat,
from rolling hills and hardwoods, to bottom lands.
Specializing in Bob White Quail and Eastern Wild Turkey hunts
we honed our skills in land management and wildlife habitat. Focusing
strictly on the grounds we soon realized that the game populations would
flourish once non native and invasive species were removed from their
habitat. For over ten years prior to the opening of Tumbling Creek we
experimented with many types of warm season grasses and native shrub species
and with the help of Quail Unlimited and experts from the Tennessee Wildlife
Resources Agency, we have found a recipe for success. The implementing
of several sound land management and wildlife incentive programs along
with early release systems and covey protection sites have had a positive
effect on our bird populations, and because of those early initiatives
we are enjoying wonderful wing shooting today.
Spring
and Fall Turkey Hunting: with bow and shotgun. Our area is known for
it's Wild Turkey populations, and the new four bird bag limit allows the
hunter the opportunity for multiple birds. With limited availability booking
quickly is a must.
Duck and Goose Hunting: on our specially prepared
farm in Cumberland Furnace. We have hunting land bordering the national
wildlife refuge and this option is something we are very excited about.
Morning Continental Shoot: followed by lunch and
an afternoon hunt. This hunt is much like the popular driven pheasant
shoot, but with a Tumbling Creek touch. This option is great for corporate
groups or groups of ten or more. This hunt must be booked in advance.
Hunting Guide & Dogs: Our hunters will be accompanied in the
field with a personal and professional guide, who along with a brace of
our setters, Pointers or Short Hairs will make your upland adventure exciting,
challenging, but most
importantly unforgettable.
Length
of Hunts: Guests of Tumbling Creek Lodge have the opportunity to book
a hunt for one to five days and can arrange many of the above mentioned
options for an entire day or half day. Depending on the season of your
visit, you and your party can Fish, hunt Upland Birds, Ducks and Geese
all during your one stay. All you have to decide is what you like to do.
Lodging: our Lodge is located in Bucksnort, Tennessee
and is nestled along the banks of Tumbling Creek and Bold Springs. Guests
can enjoy the breathtaking views from our back deck while sipping a glass
of homemade sweat tea, and waiting for a southern style meal to be prepared.
We specialize in an atmosphere where our guests can sit back, relax and
enjoy all that the country and nature has to offer. The 4100 square foot
lodge can accommodate up to ten guests, and private rooms are available.
The lodge has been designed with the needs of guests in mind, and is equipped
with a full service bar and grill, along with a conference room and open
air meeting room.
Meals: traditional southern style meals; however,
we will work closely with our overnight guests to try and prepare meals
that are catered to their individual needs.
