Lonesome Dove Outfitters provides the hunter with an outstanding Alaska hunting experience. Whether you use a rifle or a bow, whether you hunt for Black Bear, Brown Bear, Grizzly, Blacktail Deer, Dall Sheep, Mountain Goat, Moose or Wolf check us for your next trip!

Brown Bear/Moose: combination hunts for Brown Bears with Moose, Black Bears, Mountain Goats or Blacktail Deer, depending on the time of year. Our early spring and late fall hunts are geared toward trophy bears and are for 10 full days. The spring hunts run from April 20 - May 20 and are combined with a Black Bear at no additional charge other than the tag fee. The late fall hunt runs Oct. 15 - Nov. 5 and is done in combination with a Blacktail Deer for no additonal charge. This timing allows for premium hide quality and gives us enough time to find a large bear. Calling can work very well at this time. The September hunt runs from Sep. 3rd - Sept 13.


The Hunt Includes: 1 on 1 guiding service, trophy and meat care, and all meals and lodging while in the field. Clients are responsible for their tags and licences, in town meals and loding if necessary, and charter costs to and from the field. I only take 4 or 5 clients per year for both spring and fall, so each hunt is specifically designed to be in the most productive area for the timing of the hunt. This is Alaska at it's finest and you will have a hunt to remember!

Dall Sheep Hunting: hunt in the Chugach Mountains. These hunts start on Aug 8 - Aug 26 and are for 7 full days, and are in some fairly rugged country. The quality of the hunt will depend on the physical condition of the client. The weather is usually fairly mild, so we will not be required to carry a lot of gear. We will cover a considerable amount of country in search of rams in the 40-inch class. This is hard hunting at it's finest, and you will have a strong sense of accomplishment when it is over. Clients are also responsible for their charter cost round trip along with their tags and licenses. A wolf tag may be purchased and is strongly recommended. We will conduct this hunt out of Anchorage, so clients need to fly to Cordova. We have had an 83% success rate since 2000.


Mountain Goat Hunting: 5-day combination hunt for Mountain Goat and Black Bear. Hunting season runs Sep 15 - Oct 15. These hunts take place in Prince William Sound, in some of the most beautiful country Alaska has to offer. If you like taking photographs, bring plenty of film. While we cannot guarantee a kill, we can boast of 100% success on Mountain Goats and 80% on Black Bears since we started hunting it. This includes archery hunts as well. Goat hunting is probably the most physically demanding of all big game hunting, and the quality of the hunt will very much depend on the physical condition of the client.


Mtn Goat Hunt Includes: The includes complete one-on-one guided service, lodging, meals while in the field, trophy and meat care. The hunter is responsible for the charter costs to and from Cordova, his/her own personal gear, all tags and licenses, and in-town lodging if necessary. Tag and License Information.

Fishing & Waterfowl Hunts: Charters for Silver Salmon or Waterfowl hunting are also available, if you wish to extend your visit.
