Alaska Outdoor Safaris offers hunts out of Western Alaska, Kodiak Alaska, the Aleutian Islands and the Brooks Range. We offer hunting for Dall Sheep, Moose, Grizzly Bear, Brown Bear and Caribou. Our guides and outfitters are true professionals and are the finest that Alaska has to offer. Our guides can offer you over a quarter century of experience and knowledge. We can guarantee a quality hunt with a very high opportunity for success for taking a trophy class animal.



Dall Sheep: The effort you are willing and able to put forth will have a bearing on your chances for success. You are almost assured of seeing respectable trophies on any of our hunts. Most of our sheep will be in the 36" - 38" range. We will usually take several animals each season that will go into the 40" plus range. Our success rate each season for years has been between 90% - 100%. Our hunts are conducted for 10 hunting days and our cost will vary depending on the typ of hunt you want.


Brown/Grizzly Bear Hunting: For the past five years we have presented our hunters with almost 100% opportunity and success rate of over 90%. Our Brown Bear have been averaging 9'6", and we have taken three B & C bears since the fall of 1998. We can also boast the Pope & Young world record. A recent client shot a 9'6" Bear from his wheel chair. Due to the quality and success of our bear hunts many of our clients book a year or more in advance. We suggest early reservations.



Moose Hunting: Hunts are conducted in west ern and central Alaska and in camps along the Yukon River. Hunts are in Sept. and will be 10 hunting days. Your hunt will be fully guided, either 1 on 1 or 2 hunters and 1 guide. We use power boats and rafts to get our clients into known moose locations. You will be hunting and camping along 50 or more river miles of excellent moose habitat. 24 years of experience equals opportunity and success for our hunters.



Caribou Hunting: Our Guides are hunting the Mulchatna herd that has grown in excess of 200,00 animals. The wide open will allow hunters time to select a quality trophy bull. Remote fly in camps will put you into dense caribou populations. The caribou season starts in August and for the past 5 seasons our hunters have enjoyed 100% success on both our guided outfitted unguided hunts. Experience guides and packers will quarter you meat and prepare your capes for the taxidermist. Caribou will still be in the velvet in August but come September they will shed their velvet.
