The Daggerhorn Plantation: Whitetail Deer Hunting Deep In the Black Belt of Alabama. Only 22 miles south of the Montgomery, Alabama Airport, resting on the edge of the famous Whitetail Deer Black Belt region and the Daggerhorn Plantation.

The Daggerhorn draws its reputation from 1025 acres of privately held lands. Membership is by application and interview, our club is special and so are our members.

Hunting Guides: Daggerhorn guides are hunting specialists who are passionate about teaching hunting skills to anyone willing to learn. Guides can teach marksmanship fundamentals using safety oversight outlined in Ruger's Firearms Safety for Responsible Citizens. Hunting/shooting areas are highly controlled with emphasis on safety.


Accommodations: Daggerhorn can accommodate 9 - 12 clients over a weekend. This number ensures clients, regardless of experience, receive extremely personalized service. Southern hospitality mixed with country boy humor, safe-fun-hunting, and delicious meals are offered with only a phone call. This lodge seeks to provide a hunting experience, the staff believes that it is not the size of the horns, rather it's the people you hunt with. The staff enjoys working with both experienced and novice hunters.



Corporate/Individual or Group Membership Available: Executive/Exclusive Hunting Club Deep in the Alabama Black Belt, uniquely furnished lodge, client just shows up and hunt. A man's hangout but comfortable enough for a city woman, not vulgar, but a little racy, sleeps 9 on twin beds, expandable with floor space and AERO beds, housekeeping included weekly in season, professional catering on request, big screen TV, bar, HVAC, firewood for fireplaces, outdoor grilling, rifle range, skinning shed, bed overflow in the Jackal's Lair, Executive Sportsman Condo, ladder stands, hub and spoke green fields, honey holes, hardwoods, bow stands, seasoned expert guides who work for tips only, 1025 acres.

Constitution and Rules: designed to insure Deer observations on each trip; a thorough but fair sent of rules and constitution. Members must abide by all state laws, 3 Legal bucks a year, liberal doe limits. Must observe QDM, guides work with members for a memory hunt- a hunting adventure, long term members are desired, member must fit with owner and professional guides, full professional catering twice a year provided by Owner.


First Gun Season Hunt: is a charity hunt for seriously ill children and injured soldiers- Safari Club International Sponsorship. Members are not required to work, but we do desire and appreciate their visibility at our club's event. If you are not interested in helping those who have been dealt a bad hand or if you are not Patriotic, we probably are not your ideal club. No argumentative, unfriendly types need apply; loners may not enjoy the camaraderie that magically surfaces at the Daggerhorn.

Membership: limited to 15 full time members and 5 half members. Of these, 5 full time memberships are available from Alabama, 10 must be from out of state and 5 half memberships are limited to individuals that live 800 miles away or farther. Membership Status (13 July 2006).

Full Time Membership: At this time, full time memberships from Alabama are full and we have a wait list.
Out of State Membership: Of the 10 out of state memberships we have 4 vacancies at $2800.
Half Membership: Currently, half members are full & have a wait list.


The Owner: is determined to grow the Club, but committed to keeping the experience high quality. This means to grow there must be more acreage and more sleeping areas. We will not grow in membership above current levels without more land and more billeting spaces. We are selling a hunting experience, the joy of hunting, and while not guaranteed, members do leave with trophies. Integrity with regard to the club rules is nonnegotiable.
