Hunting in Alabama for Trophy Whitetail Deer, Quail and Turkey

Muleshoe Bend Outfitters is located on 2,000 acres of prime whitetail deer, turkey, and quail habitat near Wadley, Alabama on the Tallapoosa River. This family land has been trophy managed for deer for over 15 years. We limit the number of hunters to 24 per year. We have only 4-5 hunters "in camp" at any one time. This light hunting pressure means big rewards! Hunt with your rifle, muzzleloader, or bow for deer.

We offer several hunting and accommodation options.

Deer Hunts:

Early Season - fully guided 3 day hunt in Nov. We offer 2 early season hunts. During this time, the hunter should see the maximum number of deer; be relatively certain of doe harvest; and have a reasonable chance for a buck harvest.

Mid Season - We offer 1 mid-season hunt in December after the property has rested for a few weeks.

Rut Hunt - 3 "rut hunts" in late Jan. The opportunity for a trophy buck harvest should be best at this time.

Bow Season: Oct - Nov. Muzzleloader Season: Nov. -
We will customize a bow or muzzleloader hunt for you during those seasons.

Spring Turkey Hunts: fully guided 2 day hunt with experienced bird dogs over released quail. We take 6 hunters during the season. We have designed our hunts to ensure a good opportunity for harvest. Two hunters "in camp" for each hunt. If weather is predicted to be adverse, we will call and pick a better time in and around the scheduled hunt. If you're in a quest for a "grand slam", we will extend the hunt as needed. Harvest is restricted to mature "long-bearded" gobblers and is limited to 1 Gobbler for 2 day hunt. Ask about group rates.

Quail Hunts: full and half day hunts available.

Accommodations: For the hunter on a budget, enjoy our comfortable, yet rustic, cabin and supply your own meals, propane heat and all conveniences.

Or be our guest in the main lodge with delicious meals and full service provided for a little more in our 3 bedroom modern log cabin - we do it all here.

Summer Activities: camping, boating, fishing, hiking, canoeing, and site seeing. Our extensive river frontage on the Tallapoosa River allows us to provide short local canoe trips as well as "drop off and pick up" canoe trips that are more strenuous. Canoe trips also available on local streams.
