Hunting for Ducks, Upland Game Bird or Trout Fishing
in Arkansas on the Mississippi Flyway
|
We
are family owned and operated and have over 30 years experience in duck
guiding. Black Mallard Outfitters is located along the White River in
the famous Raft Creek Bottoms, part of the Mississippi flyway that winters
thousands of ducks each year and known by many as one of the best places
in Arkansas with great duck holding potential. When conditions are good
in this area, there will be few ducks that will go on further south.
A
new 4,000+ acre wildlife management area with 2 large resting areas recently
acquired by Ducks Unlimited joins our property, this only proves the great
capacity for wintering waterfowl each year. Our hunts are easy with no
wading in and our blinds are comfortable and heated.
Lodging
& Meals: We provide southern hospitality and southern home
cooked meals second to none! After your hunt you will have the most relaxing
time visiting with friends and staff around a warm crackling fire in our

About Our Camp: Black Mallard Outfitters Conservation
Camp for Kids works to educate and involve youth in conservation and habitat
for waterfowl and wildlife by helping them understand and appreciate the
history and the sport of each. Our camp gives children the opportunity
to understand the ethics of good sportsmanship while passing on the legacy
of waterfowling to a new generation.
Activities: Campers age 8-16 will learn the basics of waterfowl
and wildlife conservation, duck calling, boating, wingshooting and gun
safety, waterfowl identification, taxidermy, archery, and many other hands-on
outdoor basics. Campers will also learn decoy carving, decoy placement,
building of duck blinds, retriever training, and several other advanced
hands-on activities. Campers will actually look on as a taxidermist completes
a duck mount.
Campers were instructed how to build & conceal
blinds & place decoys before simulated hunt.
