Elk Springs Outfitters invites you to hunt in Idaho, where we will help you experience the thrill, challenge, and adventure of an Idaho wilderness, professionally guided elk hunt. We specialize in combo Elk, Mule Deer and Black Bear hunts in the beautifully rugged back country of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. Moose and Sheep also roam this remote area. We are located in west central Idaho. At 2.3 million acres, the FC-RNR is the largest protected contiguous wilderness area in the United States, teaming with wildlife, and prime country for Idaho big game.


Elk Hunting: As the fall moves in, the bugle of rutting elk can be heard echoing throughout Idaho's Salmon River Mountains. As Idaho hunting guides.Our hunts run from September 15 to November 16. Our 8 day trip includes 6 full days of hunting. Elk hunting will be our primary target, and you'll find some outstanding Bulls here in the back country. Our average bull elk racks is a 5 x 5, but it isn't uncommon to take 6x6's over 300"s.

Mule Deer: After taking your trophy elk, you'll be able to hunt for a mule deer. The limited mule deer hunting pressure gives us an abundant population and your opportunity to add a large mule deer to your hunting trip is excellent. The average mule deer taken is a 4 x 4 with a 24 inch spread, but again every year we are taking bucks over 175" and up into the low 200"s

* One night before and after the hunt in the Big Creek Lodge
