Tallgrass Lodge is a full service luxury hunting lodge and bed & breakfast nestled into the flint hills of Northeast Kansas. We provide high quality Whitetail, Pheasant, Quail, Turkey, Waterfowl, Dove and Predator hunts. Our lodge is located one and a half hours north of Wichita, two hours west of Kansas City, and approximately 9 miles southwest of Junction City Kansas, only 7 miles south of I-70. Getting to our lodge is very easy. Tallgrass Lodge offers packages to meet every need from a no services package for the individual who wants to handle everything, to luxury packages designed to satisfy even the most demanding guest.


We manage and hunt on over 8,000 acres. The lodge sits on 3,000 contiguous acres with another 2,000 within five minutes of the lodge. We have recently acquired another 3,500 acres in north central Kansas that is loaded with Pheasant, Whitetails, Waterfowl, and Dove. Our habitats are made up of tall grass prairies dotted with deep heavily wooded ravines, CRP, and crop filled river bottom lowlands. This juxtaposition of habitats leads to an enormous carrying capacity that supports large amounts of wildlife. When managed correctly this already rich habitat can reach astronomical capacities.

Whitetail Hunting: If you're an avid Whitetail hunter looking for huge Kansas Whitetails the destination you are looking for is Tallgrass Lodge. We provide a full line of Bow, Rifle and muzzleloader hunts. We practice Quality Deer Management techniques on all of our properties. We strive to keep our bucks around for a minimum of three years. In Kansas that means a minimum of 130 inches. We will not harvest anything smaller than that. There are two things that set us apart from our competitors. First is our impeccable service, and second is we only take ten to fifteen Whitetail hunters a year. When you are hunting as much land as we are that means very low pressure and increased success rates. We have 3, 4, and 5 day hunting packages starting at $1,500. We would be happy to customize a packages as well.

Upland Hunting: Kansas is famous for Bobwhite Quail and Ringneck Pheasant, and rightfully so. Come and enjoy some of the best upland hunting in the country behind some of the best hunting dogs you have ever seen. Or bring your own dogs, the choice is yours. You can choose to hunt our wild Bobwhite Quail, Ring-necked Pheasant, and Prairie Chicken or you can hunt on our 1,200 acre controlled shooting area and enjoy more liberal bag limits of Quail, Pheasant, and Chukar. Packages start at $350/day per hunter.



Turkey Hunting: Northeast Kansas has accumulated an extremely large population of Rio Grande and Eastern Wild Turkeys. In Kansas we have both a spring and a fall season. In the spring Rios and Eastern's respond very well to the call. These hunts can be the most enjoyable hunting adventure you can experience because you get to interact directly with your quarry. We only take twenty turkey hunters a season so don't delay. Space is limited. Don't worry about your experience level. Our highly experienced guides will be happy to show you the ropes. Our hunts are two on one. However one on one can be arranged for an extra charge. Packages start at $350/day per hunter.


Dove Hunting: The opening of dove season marks the beginning of our hunting season. A day we all look forward to with great anticipation every year. If you want to enjoy the best shooting there is then come and join us in this terrific tradition. Packages starting at $325.00 a day per hunter.

Waterfowl Hunting: Northeast Kansas is loaded with water, and waterfowl habitat. We have plenty of ducks coming down the central flyway and dropping into our duck hunting spots, especially late in the season. If you can book a late season trip, than get ready for whistling wing excitement. Packages starting at $350.00 a day per hunter.




Predator Hunting We are also a working cattle ranch. Any time you have a cow calf operation you are going to have coyotes. Coyotes are still considered varmints in Kansas so you can kill as many as you would like any time of year. You can handle all of the calling or we can do it for you. If you have never gone on a predator hunt we highly recommend it. Packages starting at $350/day pp.
