Skinner Bog Wilderness Hunts is family owned where friendly hospitality can always be found. Owner, Wayne Garnett is always willing to accommodate special requests to insure a successful hunt! Experience cabin life in Maine's backwoods. We welcome all hunting methods, rifle, black powder and bow.

Our goal at Skinner Bog Hunt Park is to provide every hunter with a challenging, yet successful exotic Deer hunt in a safe atmosphere. Furthermore, we raise our own Red Deer, Fallow Deer and Elk to ensure superior genetics and high meat quality!

Fallow Deer

The Land: Very little of the 500+ acre farm consists of bog. Most of the acreage is wooded in varying degrees from very heavy to lightly wooded with some open meadows. The property was used as farmland through the 1800's first by the Skinner Family, hence the name "Skinner Bog Wilderness Hunts".

The Hunt Park is 'high & dry' with a wide variety of hunting opportunities for both bow and rifle hunters. The forest ranges from heavily wooded to light woods opening up to fields and meadows. Bow hunters will encounter opportunities to take shots from as close as 30 feet, while our rifle hunters will find challenging shots from over 300 yards away. We aim for every hunter to have an exciting, successful hunt, and a challenging hunt for any hunting skill levels.

Buffalo - Elk

What's Included: All Hunt Packages include 3 days/3 nights lodging at Skinner Bog Hunt Cabin, plus a complimentary home-cooked 'welcome' meal the day of your arrival. A guide is available Free of charge for the first 3 days of your hunt. We can accomodate individual hunters or groups. Skinner Bog Hunt Park offers excellent services for both experienced or beginners!

Accommodations: The cabin is comfortably heated by a woodstove during the winter months. The cabin loft provides comfortable sleeping area. The Skinner Bog Cabin has comfortable furniture for relaxing. Kitchen is equipped with Gas Stove and Griddle for cooking.

Fallow Deer

Other Services: We work closely with local businesses to offer a wide range of services to accommodate our hunters. We will also offer Free assistance with removing your animal from the hunt park. These services range from meat cutting to taxidermy services.
