Hunting in South Dakota for Mule Deer and Buffalo

Providing hunting experiences since 1965 in western South Dakota. This area encompasses approximately 150,000 acres of privately owned land north and south of Wall, South Dakota, along the rugged Cheyenne River drainage area. The hills and draws of these river breaks provide ideal habitat for good numbers of Mule deer. These cedar covered hills are their natural romping grounds and their "home on the range", they have a success rate of 80%-100% consistently.

Hunts Offered:
Trophy Mule Deer hunting - guided or semi guided.
Buffalo Hunting - in winter on 7,000 acres of rolling prairies.





Semi-guided Mule Deer - 5 Day Hunt:
with a fully furnished lodge with kitchen and shower. Ground blinds are set up before you arrive in strategic locations. Meals are not included though you will be able to buy your groceries in town which is only a couple miles away from camp.

Traveling to the hunting camp is not difficult; you can drive your automobile to the camp by traveling to Wall, SD, 50 miles E of Rapid City. The nearest airport is in Rapid Falls South Dakota.




Trophy Whitetail Deer Hunt - Archery Only - 5 Day, 6 Night:
All inclusive, archery only hunt. Includes food, lodging, guide, treestands, ground blinds, and much more. You are responsible for your license. Fair chase, no high fences. The"All-Inclusive" Whitetail Hunts were created for the sole purpose of providing the hunter with a high quality, exclusive hunting experience. The Archery season typically runs from the end of September through the third weekend in November with the Rut starting around the end of October. License is a Lottery Draw, but as a Non-Resident, you are guaranteed to receive the license if you apply.




Tree Stands and Blinds:
All hunting is done from Big Dog Tree Stands and Ground Blinds with over 70 different specific locations on the edges of bedding areas, funnels between bedding and feeding, and waterholes.

Deer herd numbers are up over the last few years and you can expect to see numerous Deer each time you take a stand. Hunt over 25,000 acres. Antler size varies greatly. The biggest buck harvested on their place in the last 2 years scored 183 6/8".





Buffalo Hunting - 2-Days, 3-Nights: All-Inclusive, includes guide, lodging, food, skinning & quartering. Experience the Hunt of a Lifetime when you hunt the Majestic Buffalo in South Dakota. The Rolling Prairies, where these massive animals resemble those found in the movie, "Dances With Wolves". Hunt a large area consisting of 7,000 acres which assures the hunt to be very challenging.
Keep the head, hide, and all of the meat. Hunt with Bow, Muzzleloader, or Rifle (Minimum Caliber .270). All you need to bring is your weapon of choice and your cold weather gear and we will take care of everything else. Buffalo Hunts take place anytime between January 2 and February 20.
