Stukels Upland Adventures offers Pheasant Hunting, Turkey Hunting and Hungarian Partridge Hunts in South Dakota. There are few who will even challenge the fact that South Central South Dakota offers the best traditional wild pheasant hunting in the state. Each hunt is customized according to the size and specific desires of the party. No group is too large or too small. While we may have two or three small parties in our lodge at one time, they are not mixed for hunting purposes.

Guides

Pheasant Hunting: While we offer several different hunting options, our major emphasis on each bird hunt is always on pheasants. Plenty of shooting and full limits are standard fare. The regular season opens the third weekend in October. The daily limit for wild birds is three with fifteen in possession. We also offer a very limited number of early season preserve hunts for those who prefer the milder weather of late September and early October.

Full Service Hunting Package: 26 years of providing a superb upland experience. All you need to do is bring your gun and leave the rest to the Stukel's.

Self Guided Pheasant Hunts: This is a real economy pleasant hunt for those who prefer to hunt their own way at their own pace. If you have good dogs and want to give them a real work out this may be just what you are looking for. Available from late November through January, each hunt includes lodging, daily breakfast and all our ground to hunt on. The Pheasants are might spooky by this time and you need to be prepared to work hard and put up with potentially bad weather.

Day Hunts: Designed for the hunters who have their own lodging and are just looking for a day or two of great guided hunting with our dogs or yours..

Other Hunts Available Hungarian Partridge, Merriam's Turkey, Sharptail Grouse

Lodging: Our main lodge comfortably accommodates from two to thirty-two guests. It is designed to allow for the privacy of separate parties but maintains the family atmosphere of a traditional hunting lodge. There are eighteen bedrooms, ten bathrooms, two fireplaces, three phone and fax lines, two designated "office" work areas, three separate living areas, a 36' x 48' dining room, plus recreation areas with spa, pool table, satellite TV's and VCR's as well as a smoking lounge.
